Dell 3100cn – A Strong Option In The Home
The Dell Laser Printer 3100cn has a reasonable price, strong performance, and good image quality with the Dell 3100cn Toner Cartridge. It is a network printer that comes with a 250 sheet paper drawer as standard equipment, making it even more of a value. The Dell 3100cn is a flexible printer with many of connectivity options and support for Windows, Mac, and Linux computers. This printer comes with a standard 64MB of RAM that can support a small office with about 10 people.
Dell 3100cn toner cartridges have an output of 4000 pages. The replacement cartridges are well priced when you consider the output that it provides. The prices make the 3100cn cost effective to for use. You can buy the toner cartridges in packs of four from Dell’s Web site which can save you even more money. They cartridges are quite easy to replace.
The Dell 3100cn a main paper drawer that holds 250 sheets, and has a 150 sheet tray behind a folding door in the front of the printer; this tray is also the multipurpose feeder. You can add another 250 sheet drawer or you can add a 500 sheet drawer; which would give it a 900 sheet capacity. The 3100cn maintains both Printer Control Language and PostScript emulations. The printer has a 17 by 17 inch footprint, which takes up little space, but the unit is tall and can become even taller if paper drawers are added to the bottom of the unit.
The Dell 3100cn has an excellent black-and-white printing quality. The text is crisp and clear and easy to read. There are not any blurring or split lines in text the output. The smallest fonts remain clear. Line art looks perfect, and grayscale photographs show sharp details with smooth tonal conversions. Graphics output is very precise and of high quality. Text prints at a fast 17.8 pages a minute. This is a great speed for this class of printer.
The Dell 3100cn weighs about 72 pounds, but has great output which obviously is of high quality, and the fast grayscale speeds are a big plus for this machine. This color laser printer does a very good job at printing; the color graphics are outstanding, with the photographic precision that you would expect from an inkjet, without the smeared edges. The printing of black text which is the most common use for an office printer excels well above the norm. The Dell 3100cn has a 22ppm grayscale text speed which shows that this Dell can do very well in a heavy text printing situation, especially in a workgroup.
The three front mounted buttons below the LCD screen: menu and cancel buttons and a select button surrounded with four-way arrow keys turn any adjustment you need to make into an easy to control work panel. Some of the commands and settings may take more than one step, but still for all the functions that it gives you this still makes the Dell 3100cn a good value.
