what is a NTC6.8kOhm and can the cable length be extended with insulated copper wire and connectors?
it is something to do with temprature sensing
NTC = negative temperature coefficient
The resistance decreases with increasing temperature. The cable can be extended if the resistance of the sensor is really 6800 ohms because the added resistance of the wire and connector will be negligible.
If the resistance of the sensor is less than a few hundred ohms, you may need to use a three wire (for a bridge circuit) or four wire (current source and voltage sense) connection system to extend the length so that the wire resistance is not part of the measurement.
