Ongoing Airport Delays See Huge Rise in Families Enjoying UK Family Holidays
Have you made the decision about where to take your annual summer holiday? Usually I like to travel abroad for our summer holiday, mainly because I do like to get a nice suntan to see me through the dreary winter months.
However, this year I am not so sure that I can really be bothered with all the hassle of travelling abroad.How come it doesn’t seem to make any difference what day we travel on, there always seems to be somebody striking at the airport delaying everything.It can be so upsetting when all year you have worked hard to put enough money away for your one holiday of the year and then some idiots at the airport decides it would be a good time to go on strike.
Of course, there are other things that might just hold you up.Due to the heightened security measures now in place at all of our airports, it is advisable to be at the airport at least 3 hours before your due departure time. Of course we all want to be safe when we are up in the air, but surely they know that August is a really busy month at the airports, so perhaps they might do a bit of forward planning and employ more staff to deal with the surge in demand.
Bearing all this in mind, I think this year I am going to buck my usual trend and have a look at what some of these UK family holidays have to offer. I know I won’t be guaranteed the sunshine, but does it really matter. I am sure there are some brilliant UK Activity Holidays that we could all get involved in and surely that is what it is all about, spending time with the family.
I have some fond memories of a school trip taken to the Brecon Beacons when I was 13, so it might be a good idea to start my search by looking at some Hotels in Wales and see what delights they can offer us as a family.
One thing I am pleased about is that this year I will have no schedules to stick to, no airports to be at for a certain time, no rude staff to put up with at passport control.My UK break is sounding fantastic already.
Now all I have to do is convince everybody else that my plan is brilliant, that could take a bit of doing, but I’m a female, so I have my powers of persuasion!
