Are Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors interchangeable with Film Capacitors?
For example, I need a 1ųF film capacitor but I dont have one can I use a 1ųF aluminum electrolytic capacitor in its place?
I am building a guitar pedal if that matters.

Usually NO for some circuit that require non-polarity capacitor. If it is a coupling capacitor and you know how to determine the correct polarity in the circuit, and then matching the polarity of electrolytic capacitor and voltage rating. Then it can be replaced.
