PS3 Disc Problem – Disc Not Spinning
If you have put a disc into your PS3 and it doesn’t spin, then you need a PS3 disc not spinning fix. But what causes this PS3 won’t load games disc problem, and what can you do to fix your PS3?
In many cases this PS3 disc problem is caused by a laser problem. This is due to the fact that your laser reads what type of media the disc is before it commands the drive to spin. So if the laser is bad, the disc will not spin.
Disc not spinning fix
You can try out these simple fixes and see if they help, if these work then it is probably not a serious problem:
Turning the console off and on again-Turn off your console (it will show the red light) then flip the switch at the back of the console; if it is a slim after you turn it off, unplug it. Turn it on after that to see if it worked. if your PS3 won’t play disks you can easily buy guide.
If that fix your PS3 disc not spinning problem then try resetting your PS3- Put the PS3 in standby mode then press and hold the power button for 5 seconds until you hear 2 beeps. I doubt this will work, but it’s worth a shot since anything else will require you taking apart your PS3.
Now if the steps above don’t work, then you may have a serious problem. To fix your PS3 disc problem you are left with 2 options: Send you PS3 to Sony for repairs or get a good PS3 repair guide and fix it yourself.
Sending your PS3 to Sony- This is a good idea if your PS3 is still under warranty. If you open your PS3 you will void the warranty.
