How do I fix a discoloration in a Chinese silk dress without ruining it?
It’s a light blue dress with a large greyish white area of discoloration over the bust. Dress is Chinese silk and Dry Clean Only.
You can try the dry cleaners, but be prepared to be told that they can’t do anything about it. Silk is notoriously hard to clean. You can tell them what the spot is, if you know. That may help somewhat, but it sounds like you may have to throw the dress away and buy a new one.
